Each person is unique and so too are your eyes. We all depend on our eyesight for day-to-day life, yet little thought is put into protecting them and ensuring their longevity.
Our Optometrist is highly trained to perform quick and thorough eye checks and examinations, utilising the latest technology in eye care.
During your comprehensive eye examination at Artarmon Vision, you will receive more than a simple eye test. A thorough eye examination is one of the best ways to protect your vision as it can detect eye problems at their earliest stage. Please allow 45 minutes for your appointment.
We will assess your:
- Spectacle and contact lens prescription
- Eye health including checks for macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma
- Eye muscle coordination
- Peripheral vision
We will then determine your vision needs in relation to your career, lifestyle, and hobbies in order to advise the best eyewear options.
Adults
Even if your vision may seem great, adults still need to have their eyes examined at least every two years.
The majority of people found to have an eye disease have no symptoms at the time of diagnosis. If you’re over 50 years of age, have a family history of eye disease or contact lens use, you will require more frequent examinations.
Children
Most children with eye problems do not complain or verbalise their difficulty, as they are not aware their vision is different to others. With visual learning accounting for 80% of learning, it is essential to get your child’s eyes tested to ensure their learning is not compromised.
Much can change in little time with kids. That’s why it’s important that children have their eyes examined every two years after the age of three.
Please note that children do not need to know the alphabet to have their eyes examined.
